Our hospital is an 86-bed acute care hospital and medical center serving the populations of Manchester, Windham, Salem, Chester, Atkinson, Hampstead, Derry, East Derry and Londonderry. It is an attractive work destination for over 600 employees and nearly 200 medical staff members with its ideal geographic location - central to the seacoast, the White Mountains and the Boston area.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. Must have Registered Nurse NH license, BLS, ACLS Preferred. We are offering 36 hour shifts, Days or Evenings!
Emergency Department RN responsibilities include:
Assesses, plans and evaluates patient care needs.
Prioritizes patient care based on acuity level and available resources.
Carries out physician orders.
Assists physician during examination, treatment and procedures.
Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs.
Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well coordinated patient care.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
Instructs and educates patients and families.
Assesses and coordinates patients discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Provides age and culturally appropriate care.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
