A regional firm with New England roots and a global reach, and we are looking for a Tax Senior to be based in our Portland, ME; Portsmouth, NH; Manchester, NH; or Boston, MA offices.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Tax Senior position include working directly with clients to prepare federal and state tax returns and related work papers for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, individuals and trusts. You will also utilize tax research tools to help determine the proper tax treatment of a variety of client transactions.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Two+ years of experience in taxation with a public accounting firm
- Master's or other form of 150 college credit hours with requisite accounting related courses (Bachelor’s degrees may be considered in some situations)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

They will be responsible for timely and effectively explaining tax objectives, budget information, and other relevant engagement information to assigned staff. Tax seniors will demonstrate the ability to manage tax engagements to a successful and efficient completion. They write effectively and professionally in work-paper documentation, emails, and other formats. They will interact with clients professionally at all times and are confident in their ability to deal effectively with clients regarding tax, accounting, and business issues.
